My Family would like your help!
We would just like to ask you to take a moment and review the information in the hope that you may be able to help Sammi Rae of Hope continue to support local families, and help our family build a legacy for our daughter.
Information for the Sammi-T-Time 2008 Golf Outing & Sponsorship Menu
is located on the Events Page
We would like to be able to get a full field and have enough sponsors to make this event very special this year. Sammi will be 18 this year. We started this event on Sammi's 12th birthday. The next year was a memorial for her. Sammi passed away at home December 21, 2002.
We would like to make this a huge celebration in memory of Sammi and what she meant to so many, and how she continues to inspired us to do what we do at
Sammi Rae of Hope.
We have been involved with 80 families since we started Sammi Rae of Hope and this year, we need your support more than ever.
This event is more than just a fundraiser to us; it is a celebration of life. Even with all of the issues that Sammi had to live with, she taught everyone around her that you shouldn’t just live life; you should celebrate it each day.
Thank you for your time,
John R. Tuffelmire

Answers to Your Questions
We would just like to say thank you to everyone over the past year for all of their support. March 1, 2008 will mark our 3rd full year of operations in assisting families in need.
Sammi Rae of Hope has been involved with 80 families as of February 2008. We have been able to successfully help 75 families with the amount of support we have received.
The question that we get asked most often is, “How do you do it?”
We still receive no grants and not a single penny is available to us in Government funding, even though we are 501(c)(3) organization.
Here’s the approximate breakdown for 2007 regarding where the funds come from. These are based on the gross dollar amounts received in 2007.
14.4 % are raised from JRT Construction, LLC (John R. Tuffelmire)
22.1 % come from general donations. (People like you & me)
63.5% is generated from events and fundraiser's.
When we organize a fundraiser, Sammi typically has to pay all of the expenses to promote and put on these events. Sammi Rae of Hope averages approximately 40 % to 45% net proceeds at the end of the year for all events.
So, the other question we get asked is, “Why does your family continue to do this?” The answer is, “We are a simple family… with a simple mission.” We want to take the lesson that Sammi taught us and pass it along to others. By doing this, we hope to have more people become aware of the needs of others
and in return create a legacy for Samantha.
If you’re wondering what the lesson is, it’s just this…
“It’s just not about me today!”
I told you it was simple.
